21.03.2013

Since its foundation, Turkish Ceramics Promotion Group has run diverse activities from participating in fairs to organising special events. This effort of communication and promotion of Turkish ceramics reflects positively on ceramics exportation of Turkey. According to the export data of 2011, tile exports of Turkey has increased to 521 million dollars and export of sanitary ware products has reached 179 million dollars in 2011. Today Turkey maintains its position in the worlds’ ceramic tiles and sanitary ware export market as being one of the fifth highest countries in value terms. Due to its growing market share in the existing export countries and establishing strong and permanent business relationships in new markets, the Turkish Exporters Assembly has set a target to reach 3.5 billion dollars of export value by 2023.

Germany has traditionally been one of Turkey’s best trade allies, According to the 2012 statistics in value terms, Turkey’s export of tiles to Germany reached 66 million dollars and export of sanitary ware products reached 25 million dollars.

The Turkish ceramic industry has persevered through the global economic recession with significant growth. As a reflection of this growth, for the 25th time, Turkey welcomed the world ceramic sector at UNICERA International Ceramic Bathroom Kitchen Fair, one of the top two European fairs in its field. 26 members of the Turkish Ceramics Promotion Group attended UNICERA by showing their latest innovative products at specially designed stands.
